1) Why was the ABC Producer obsessed with Baylor’s Coach?

2) We would had over a dozen sacks ...but either overpursued or did not tackle properly.

3) Calcaterra makes the difficult catches, but fails the simple ones most of time.

4) Kennedy Brooks and Trey Sermon better get some wheel routes the rest of this season.

5) Kelly looks revitalized and may be a key player to hammer opponent QBs.

6) Lee Morris has pushed Calcaterra to the pine in my opinion.

7) Run blocking needs to step up for us to sustain longer drives.

8) DB’s appear lost most of time.

9) Kyler Murray is mega skilled and should carve up Shorthorns.

10) Mike Stoops ...33 points to Baylor? Really??!!

Put me down for the emergence of role players such as Kennedy Brooks, Lee Morris and re-emergence of Kelly as the most significant takeaways today (and ditto on the caveat on Calcaterra).

In addition to concerns about run blocking also unhappy with the number of holding calls.

My biggest concern is we've played NO ONE so far and still showing serious issues on the D . The D undoubtedly flashes greatness occasionally, but the numbers are the numbers: #77 in total D, before today's game - and after giving up almost 500 yards today means we are headed towards the bottom quartile in D1, playing against, to reiterate, NO ONE (but Plaino's here to tell you that you don't deserve any better).

At the risk of a Hitler comparison (like most white men are subjected to)...and sabotaging OU's recruiting with expressions of concern over the football team... Phaeded's post is well stated.

I'll add that "Bookie" has been a big disappointment so far. I expected him to make more noise than he has. He had one play yesterday where he was in great position for a pick six and he totally whiffed. That was really the only time I saw him close to making a play. He was beaten badly on a touchdown pass.

Hopefully the game will slow down for him. Soon.

He needs some good coaching. Not sure he will get it with the current regime. So far seems out of position often...I do agree with that observation.

I thought he looked 'As Advertised' in the first game...Sadly, his play seems to have been downhill ever since. It appears that what potential he had has been coached out of him, IMO...

Bookie will be a good player for us, in time. It’s rare for a true freshman to be able to start immediately and star. Would have been nice to see him develop in an experienced and decent squad. As is, they are young and learning (well, in theory-hopefully someone else besides Bobo is doing some coaching).

I believe we have some really good athletes on defense so the question centers around coaching.

Sitting in the stands this season, it seems our players are confused a great deal of the time. I believe it is because we are trying to be too cute/complicated in our schemes so that the kids natural instincts of how to play ball have been negated.

The 1st two games the defense looked solid but we were very vanilla. The army game showed that the front 7 can be pushed around. We will only see that tight formation in 3rd, 4th and short or goal line. It doesn't look good that we will be able to stop either.

ISU we opened the play book and the defense, lost there fundamentals. Tackling was not basic they over thought and didn't let the game flow. Baylor is a weird game. We actually played semi decent but 101 plays, is just way to many.

I think the coaching staff is asking the guys for to much. They have to think instead of react. The basics do not happen when they are over thinking their assignments.

Lets dial back the play book down, let players make plays and not overthink
