Alright guys, since there won't be a Scoop today there will be some good Notes here for you all to go over.
We'll start with some news that should bring a smile to everyone's face.
*****In a random conversation I had with a source earlier this week I stumbled onto the news that Oklahoma could be hearing some good news from Waco (Texas) La Vega three-star cornerback Parrish Cobb, possibly even as early as this summer.
The news came as somewhat of a surprise as it quickly followed the news that the Sooners were probably out with Waco high's three-star cornerback Eric Cuffee. The two are more than just fellow natives of the same hometown but are actually cousins and have talked about playing together in college.
The news is good on another front than just the possibility of landing Cobb, La Vega is also the home of Sooners 2017 tight end offer Kedrick James.
*****Another interesting note that emerged over the course of the week is that while many, myself included, have been throwing around the idea of another big offensive line class, it doesn't look like that will be the way things play out. As I understand Oklahoma will be taking two more offensive lineman to join current offensive line pledge Logan Roberson.
From what I've gathered, one of those two will be a junior college target and the other will be another prep product.
The lone possibility for change, at least currently, is should Oklahoma land Oklahoma City John Marshall offensive tackle Tramonda Moore.
For those that don't remember, Moore is probably a sign and place player - meaning a FBS school will sign him and if he doesn't end up qualifying (as most expect he will not) then the school who signed him will help place him in a junior college in hopes that he'll return in two years time.
So with that explained, Oklahoma wouldn't necessarily be signing a fourth player but instead just putting an investment into the future.
By the way, for those that missed it, Moore picked up a TCU offer this week.
*****Some may have wondered if the transfer of Justice Hansen might change Oklahoma's quarterback recruiting plans but after talking to a source earlier this week it sounds like that's not the case.
When the news that Del City, Okla. star quarterback Terry Wilson is looking around following some bad news from the Nebraska coaching staff, I thought some folks in Norman might take an interest.
What I gathered was basically, 'if he is interested in playing something other than quarterback...maybe'.
It's not so much that Oklahoma doesn't feel he can play the spot, but as it was explained to me - 'Oklahoma is all set' at quarterback with the commitment of Austin Kendall and Chris Robison the next two years.
So unless something further changes I'm not expecting any moves at the quarterback spot for 2016 or 2017.
*****I continue to hear good things in regard to where Oklahoma stands with Dallas First Baptist Academy four-star receiver Camron Williams.
The question that seems to keep coming up is just how much of a focal point he is in Oklahoma's 2016 plans. Some think he is a 'must have' type of player while others seem to think the door could be closing if Oklahoma were to land another receiver to go along with current commitments - Adrian Hardy and Ryan Parker.
I'm still checking into the pecking order situation but I've been told by a couple of people that Williams is high on Oklahoma and that also don't be surprised if he is the kind of kid who suddenly commits out of nowhere - not necessarily to Oklahoma, just in general.
Again, sorry for no Scoop but hopefully that's enough to tide you all over and remember I'll be out at the Texas state 7-on-7 today watching several Sooners offers/targets - including the afore mentioned Chris Robison.
