UPDATE: 2:21p - Guys, I checked around on Oklahoma's defensive back recruiting and while it seems the door isn't completely closed, there aren't many likely candidates. One who I know some of you have asked about is Sachse, Texas Rivals250 cornerback Jared Mayden.
I talked to a few people about him and it sounds like the Sooners have reached out to him but he isn't a guy that Oklahoma plans to press hard on. If he shows sincere interest, I think Oklahoma might 'kick the tires' so to speak on the Oklahoma legacy, and long-time Oregon commitment. However I don't get the impression this is going to be a big story to follow.
ORIGINAL: I got some news after the Scoop was posted, Oklahoma looks set to host Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel Rivals250 defensive lineman Briston Guidry for an official visit this month.
I was told it is likely to be a midweek visit but am still checking on that.
