Former Oklahoma center Ben Habern, who had his football career cut prematurely short due to injury, was announced Thursday as the marketing and strategic partnership coordinator for the College Football Playoff.
Habern, a former All-Big 12 center who started 30 games in his OU career, had to step away from playing football in 2012 because of lingering neck and back injuries. Habern served as an intern for the College Football Playoff in its inaugural season in 2014.
"Honored to continue working with the extremely talented staff at the @CPBPlayoff!," he said via Twitter. "Thank you for the opportunity!"
