Oklahoma winning out finishing 12-1
Ohio State winning out (eliminating Penn State) or Ohio State losing to Penn State & Michigan or Wisconsin in Big 10 Championship game giving them two losses.
LSU winning out (eliminating Georgia)
11-1 Alabama not making final four with their very weak season schedule & Tua out
one loss Oregon losing to get them their second loss
one loss Utah losing to get them their second loss

I think our biggest risk is either PAC12 team finishing with one loss even though they both are overrated.
Oregon's FG kicker in their last game missed a 20 yard FG & an extra point
OU is a much better team than either of the two PAC12 teams

Appreciate your enthusiasm, Bullmarket, but OU lost to K-State, escaped with their lives at home against Iowa State, and needed the biggest comeback in school history to beat a Baylor team that isn't as good as its record might indicate.

I doubt that OU is much better than either of those teams. I just hope they win out and then we'll see what happens.

What makes you think OU is a much better team than Oregon? Oregons loss was against a pretty good Auburn team. We lost against Kstate. I would say we were pretty evenly matched.

Oregon lost today to a bad Arizona State team giving them 2 losses. They are now eliminated.

Now we need them to beat Utah in the PAC12 Championship game.

bull you made that statement before oregon lost. I would say oregon and OU would be a pretty close game that could go either way. Thankfully they lost today but there is still a ways to go before we can think about the playoffs.

OU is "fool's gold" in any national championship discussion.

Too inconsistent in a weakish conference. No other teams have the put the fear of Jesus in anybody in the Big 12. Hurts has got to stop turning the ball over in the red zone. Staring down Lamb every chance you can get has got to stop too. Thank the Lord that Brooks is being used again. Just use him outside on edges where his strengths are. Until consistency is achieved however, this team is fools gold. Tons of stats but now in the bottom 10% in turnover margin.

Why isn't Pledger getting some carries ? I thought his quickness and fresh legs, along with Brooks and Stevenson, could have done some damage last night, especially in the second half.
In case anyone missed it, Pledger had two very good kickoff returns last night. My hunch now is that he transfers after the season, which I would hate to see, but would understand given Riley's reluctance to make him an offensive option and with two stud running backs arriving next year.

It's pretty simple: Oregon must beat Utah; Auburn needs to beat Ala.; LSU needs to beat Ga. in the SEC championship game. Oh, & we need to win out. If all this happens and the Big 10 & ACC go according to form, it will be 1. TOSU 2. LSU 3. CLEMSON 4. OU.

What I said Thursday still holds true:

Easiest Path:

Oregon loses to ASU
Oregan then beats Utah in Pac12 Champ
tOSU wins out
LSU wins out
Clemson wins out
OU wins out

We are in if those 6 things happen
