Football ticket validation - what to look for...

Hoping someone can educate me on how to validate OU tickets. I am in the process of purchasing season tickets from someone at my son's school, and I am wondering if there is a way to ensure that they are valid before I complete the purchase. Is a code or special marking that I need to look for on the tickets? Should they have a letter from the school validating their authenticity?
