I am going to play out a thought experiment with the 'brain trust' if this board to see what the thought is (long).
What if instead of maintaining a traditional roster where we sign a kid and expect him to stay for 3 years, we treat the roster as a fluid structure and have our kids immediately in the portal as soon as they're on campus.
The caveat would be that they would need to give us a 3 game warning prior to transfer. This could be tied into university sponsored NIL deals that could be stripped or repaid similar to a buyout clause for a noncompete agreement.
I think this method makes OU appear more athlete friendly but at the same time atone for consequences so the athlete has a hesitation to leave the university in a troubling situation.
