Heard and Murray were both hurt, too small for D1 running QBs. Both ND QBs are big guys, 6'0" 220 Zaire and 6'4" 230 the freshman and BOTH can run with guns for arms. Shawn Watson should never have been hired. The only good QB recruit he has gotten is the kids from Westlake, Elinger, 6'2" 220 junior with same abilities as ND QBs. Watson has given ships to 3 undersized QBs, all under 200 lbs and he's not a spread, hurry-up no huddle OC. Move Swoopes to TE and play all 3 freshmen QBs if need be, so that next year they will be a threat to be 8-4 or better. ND is the best team UT has played in the last two years IMO. They are a a complete team with depth, save for QB position.

well they have to post somewhere since they are banned from their on board.....:D

Yep, if you have any sign of Sooner in your handle, go lightly over there...geez, they've got a hair trigger right now.
One little innocuous Seinfeld quote and BAM, you're out of there.

Not that it matters to me that much, but it would take a recommendation by Ketch himself to get your access back I'm thinking.

Mixon and Perine, 1-2 running combo with and explosive offense. Wish this was more like 2008, where Murray and /brown both got 1000.

Who is to say it won't happen this year? You may get your wish. I really think once OU gets the passing game established as a legit threat, the RBs will start getting some more room to run. Need the OL to improve as well. But I certainly think Mixon and Perine each getting 1000+ this season is a very legit possibility.

Wrong as two left shoes. I am a UT grad, but NEVER a Texas fan. I am a football critic. I like quality football and knew that the day he brought Watson, he made a mistake that has put him behind developing his offense and recruiting QBs. Fortunately they can hire good spread OC and the kids will pick it up quickly. ND is the best team Brown has faced since he has been at UT. I think they are better than any Big 12 team. They run the spread, but w/o the hurry-up gimmick. They are a well balanced squad in all phases.

rkhufu7, just to clarify, as a football critic, are you saying you are merely pointing out that Texas would be better off firing Watson, but you're not a Horn fan? Are then an OU fan? Really just a question because I don't know the all the players on the board. Thanks.

RK, please come back at the end of the season and let us know again that ND is the best team you will have played the last 2 years, including anyone in the big xii. You are in for a long season in the big xii my friend.

For as long as I can remember RK has not said much good about Texas football. I will give him that.

I agree with Scottsdale's recollection of rkhufu's posts. I was always kind of puzzled by his posts when I first saw him on OB and found it hard to believe as a UT alum he was objective/critical of the horns. Kind of reminded me of Nick Zepp when he was around - super-critical of Stoops/OU. Anyway, rkhufu is okay with me, as long has he's "keeping it real" when he's over here talking about the horns! :)

Baylor nor TCU has the trench depth to handle ND. TCU struggled with Minnesota and Baylor lost to MSU, so I don't think they would handle the mid-west physicality and speed that OSU and ND have.

This is ridiculous. "Mid-west physicality"? All of a sudden, the football gods have bestowed upon the midwest some magical super powers that cannot be matched? UT gets their ass kicked by ND, so now ND is in the same category as Ohio State? You think too highly of Longhorn football. Texas is a horrible team and got hammered. Nothing more.

Ouch!

Scathingly brilliant!
