Us fans will need to adopt this acronym for the remainder of the season, best to forget what's going to happen to us henceforth.
'19 Delp Outlook:
QB: Mordecai / Kendall / Rattler
Ex: Rattler will need a year to sober up and gain weight. Will the winner of Mordecai be a stop gap, or a 2-3 year starter?
RB: Sermon / Brooks / Pledger
Ex: I'm not over the moon about Major, but this is a good group of 3 backs that compliments each other well. Definitely need another back in the '19 class though.
FB: Hall / Tillman / Saltarelli
Ex: Hall has been a pleasant surprise for this offense. Dude blocks very well and seems to be coming along in the pass game.
YWR: Calcutta / Morris / Willis
Ex: My bold prediction is we go 12 personnel a lot next year. Calc and Morris are great pass catchers and the coaches LOVE Willis, add in Stogner along with Hall and not much at the H position....I say we go heavy a bunch next year with the excess talent at the position + new OL needing help.
HWR: Robinson / Stoops / Henderson
Ex: This has been the most ignored position group in the Riley era. Just has never been super productive. I see Robinson bumping inside to battle it out w/ Stoops and Hendi (if he makes it in). But I doubt this position sees the field even 25% of the time.
XWR: Lamb / Bridges / Miller
Ex: Trejan is slowly making me consider putting him at Z and being the man there. But right now he fits as the possession WR at X that Riley loves.
ZWR: Wease / Rambo / Crawford
Ex: Any of these 3 could start here, with Crawford and Rambo having more speed than Wease. But this is the deep ball spot, and Wease can beat you deep in other ways than speed. Wease enrolls early, locks up this spot.
RT: Ealy / Felix / Swaby
Ex: This is going to be an athletic group, but a young group.
RG: Robinson / Alexander
Ex: We need interior OL, but apparently we're going with 20 OTs.
C: Humphrey / Ogar
Ex: Again, true freshman backup.
LG: Hayes / Simpson
Ex: Simpson because someone has to be a backup OG.
LT: Walker / Swenson / Wilkins
Ex: Obviously another JUCO OT could be here, but as of now this is what it looks like.
I say next year under Golding we'll go 4-3.
WDE: Perkins / Redmond / Jackson
Ex: Hope Redmond plays football, position is a strength if so.
DT: Gallimore / Thompson / Faamatau
Ex: Please don't go Galli, PLEASE!!
DT: Lott / Overton / Kelley
Ex: Whole lotta NGs, only 1 3Tech. Great recruiting guys, well done!!
SDE: Mann / Tatum / Thomas
Ex: I bought hard on Mann's potential this year, I was wrong.
WLB: White / Mead / Draper
Ex: White is tiny, physical tackling won't be coming back anytime soon here.
MLB: Murray / Asamoah / Perkins
Ex: meh
SLB: Kelly / Jones / Bonitto
Ex: Maybe a new coach won't favor Kelly? We shall see.
CB: BRH / Norwood / Washington
Ex: Our coaches are dumb, Bookie is a corner.
CB: Brown / Motley / Edwards
Ex: 2 5'9" corners, you're welcome Golding.
SS: DTY / Parker / Fields
Ex: And a 5'9" safety.
FS: Barnes / Sylvie / Morris
Ex: I wouldn't be surprised if Morris starts next year though.
NB: Sylvie / Washington / Broiles
Ex: Never thought I'd miss you so much Sylvie.
