For Bama to score 50-60 points, that means either OU failed to make ANY stops or OU turned the ball over, resulting in Bama points.

I find it hard to believe that OU fails to make any stops, this also means Bama fails to turn the ball over or have any drive killing penalties, basically a PERFECT game by their offense.

As good as OU's offense has been this season, I don't recall any game where their offense was PERFECT.

I have a feeling this is going to be very comparable to lasts years Georgia game. I hate to say it but if BS was still the coach I would be more concerned with this game. I believe LR is going to come out guns blazing. I also believe this defense steps up this game and creates a few stops and 1 turnover. I don’t believe Bama secondary will keep up and I believe their linebackers will overrun plays quite often. If we get a lead, I truly believe we will keep it! Call me crazzzzzyyyyyyy............OU in a great, close game.........by 6.

Nobody knows what Bama would do against KU or Texas but we do know they got outcoached and outplayed by Citadel in a half. Bama isn’t invincible and their defense isn’t as great as it used to be. Their linebackers are nowhere close to how they used to be.

I was hoping you'd know what I was implying. 7 draft-eligible players on defense, and several others who are not yet eligible. They are impressive. I believe OU's best chance is opening up running lanes. That could break Bama's back. We'll see. But for now I see it as them having a big advantage.

Bama wouldn't give up 40 to Kansas. I can say that pretty safely. Stick with your narrative that Citadel stuck with them for a half. But in the end they scored 17 total points and Bama completely blew them out in the 2nd half. By games end, it wasn't even remotely close.

I think Nick's and Pat's predictions are laughable. Sam's is borderline. I really don't see Saban wanting to get into a shoot out type game unless we completely force the action with a couple early turnovers and somehow manage to be up by a couple of TDs early. I'm thinking along the lines of 41-37 / 41-34 type game.

I think I understand what you were implying; every year Alabama has at least a handful of draftable (different from draft eligible) players. Whether a person believes that is based on actual NFL projections, or the fact they are coming from Alabama is up for argument. My point was Alabama has had recent defenses that were much better than the current crop, and/or had proven themselves against better quality (offensive) opponents.

Also, I think the argument that Alabama has a more dynamic offensive game this year (i.e. something other than 3 yards and a cloud of dust) has possibly masked some of the deficiencies I believe they have.

For instance, the Bama Georgia game indicated the linebacker play for Bama this year is not near what they normally are; both against the run and the pass. I would also question the current talent level of their secondary compared to the past. Of course, I am a conspiracy theorist that believes the vaunted SEC defenses are overrated and somewhat exposed when they play bowl games against high octane offenses

I am not a betting man but do have curiosity with the betting lines and over/under. For some reason, with the over/under at 77, I think the total will be below that.
