They are attempting to build anticipation for millions to tune in to watch a show. They are creating these crazy scenarios and theories to drive fans crazy. They are manufacturing a "buzz". Media/marketing 101. I am guilty of falling into the trap, but I'm out of it now. The only talking heads on these shows are former sec players except 1 pac 12 coach and 1 former big 12 player. Notice how in one segment a analyst will say something and then in the next segment they do a complete 180 on it.
If Georgia gets in then we are rewarding participation trophies. You CANNOT lose by 20 to a three or four loss team and still make it in. And while Kirby says "Nick doesn't want to play us" I bet he would hear that you don't want to see our team either. Neither sec team wants to see us at all. Our offense gives sec teams FITS, because they don't see it at all in their conference.
I would just say relax... I have a feeling we are in and this is just to build the suspense. IMO
