My brother lives in Newport Beach and said the earthquakes caused mini tidal waves in his pool. He said dogs started barking before the tremors were felt.

My dog was busy scavenging for food scraps in the yard during the first one. Mangy mutt couldn't care less about the quake when it thought it was on the track of a chicken bone.

I was napping on the couch during the 2nd one while my girl was jamming to some tunes. I woke up thinking, "damn, she's really getting down and shaking the whole couch."
