A very good source within the Sooners baseball program told me (OUinsider) tonight that the Oklahoma baseball program is expecting “two or three more potential commits by the weekend, so Coach Skip [Johnson’] Twitter will be really active,” the source said with a small laugh. “Just don’t want his Twitter giving Sooners football fans a heart attack. But I would also say that he isn’t gonna tweet that ‘Lookie here’ before Taylor Tatum announces, if it is (OU).”
Source wanted me to pass that on to you, but in regards to Tatum, I genuinely feel this thing could pop anytime between Thursday (today) and next Friday right now. Honestly, I think it could happen sooner, but with how it became such big news nationally, there are some that feel it caused Tatum to pause a bit and let the waters cool off, if you will.
I would advise OU fans to not panic or think that is going to hinder the Sooners’ chances with the Elite RB, but again, it’s a matter of just letting him announce his decision — to whoever that may be — on his own timeframe.
