Everyone give me some honest opinions here, are we becoming like Texas fans?
The national media and other fan bases largely think that we are falling off and will be good but not great for the foreseeable future, meanwhile OU fans (myself included) believe that we are going to improve and compete for championships. It just feels like we are similar to UT fans, where we have a certain expectation that the national media doesn’t, and anyone who doesn’t agree with us is an idiot. You see this in the replies to any “negative” OU storylines, where we just light up whoever wrote the “OU goes 9-3” article as if they have the intelligence of a 4th grader.
My point, do we all have crimson colored glasses on? Do we have blinders on to areas where we could genuinely struggle for a year or two? I don’t think so (my expectation is 11-1 and a B12 Title), but again I need some other opinions on this.
