I noticed this photo from a recruit at UT today. He's standing in front of four national championship trophies at Texas. I personally have only felt they have the 3, but they like to claim 4. Anyway, do we have 7 of those too?
Obviously UT had them made to represent their supposed 4 national championships.
I only recognize the 3 for UT with the AP poll which was in effect for the 2005 NC. In truth: '63,'69,'05. They like to claim 1970, but they got beat by Notre Dame in the bowl game 24-11 and the AP gave the NC to Nebraska. Texas claims the UPI which was given prior to the bowl game.
