that Texas didn't have any athletes? They've had the athletes, but just couldn't get it together for a while. They had to hit rock bottom before they ever could get better and we just saw them the week after they got to the very bottom. Texas came in with NOTHING to lose and played loose and we knew we were supposed to blow them out and were a little tight. (dropped pass on screen in first drive would have been a touchdown and could have changed the game)
We have known the whole year that we had issues with depth and youth on the O-Line and that mobile quarterbacks spread us out to the point that if we don't have an athlete that is athletic enough to keep up with the quarterback and be a spy/shadow to him we'd be in trouble. If all of us geniuses on this board see the issues we have, do you really think the coaches don't see them as well and are working to fix the problems? It's always amazing to hear all the people on here talk about how easy the fixes are - if any of us actually knew more or were better at coaching than the ones we have, we'd probably take a pay cut from our current positions and deal with the salaries of the current coaches (that was sarcasm for some of those on here).

Can we occasionally be fans and not experts?
I think this was a bigger loss for the fans than it actually is for the team or the program as a whole.
If you did not know the records of the two teams prior to this game, would this have been such a deflating game?

BOOMER!!!
