All season, & particularly in the Texas game, our entire defense would all be looking at the sideline, literally with their hands out, begging for the defensive alignment/play call....right up until the snap. I didn’t see much, if any, of that vs TCU. That alone is an improvement!!!
We still don’t have any ball hawks, and RBs seem to carry our tacklers for an extra 3-4 yards a ton....but this was is a good baby step in the right direction, IMO!! If our DBs could catch, it would have been 35-7 with about 6-7 minutes left in the 2nd Qtr and we likely crush their soul right there. Instead they get a long TD pass the next play, steal momentum, and get back in the game.
KSU should allow us to get some defensive momentum heading into a big road test @ Sand Aggy!!
