I know some posters have been talking about the very real possibility of Iowa State being OU's opponent in the Big 12 Championship rematch. While I would not be a fan of this rematch because I prefer to knock the stuffing out of the Longhorns or a hopefully higher ranked WVU (as compared to Iowa St at this point), if Iowa State vs OU ends up being the game, then what does Iowa State do about it's already scheduled game vs Incarnate Word that day?
Per the Big12sports.com website, the Cyclones are scheduled to face Incarnate Word on December 1st at 1 pm while the Big 12 Championship game is scheduled for 11 am on December 1st. I think the ISU-Incarnate Word game is a "make up" game, but how stupid would it look if ISU makes the Big 12 Championship game? I assume ISU would just cancel the Incarnate Word game, but maybe I am the idiot and missing something. ISU making the Big 12 Championship game might be unlikely, but if it happens canceling a scheduled game would need to occur - just found that interesting or stupid take your pick. Carry on...........
