i'm paraphrasing what he just said in his interview, but speaking about clemson, he states,
"this is a team that everybody thought was a year away. everybody doubted us."
i've followed college football all year and don't recall any of this sentiment ever being stated by anyone.
seems to me he's trying to build a straw man argument in an effort to convey to his players an underdog mentality so they'll play with a chip on their shoulder.
is anyone buying this!?!
