D’Onta Foreman arrested for weapon, marijuana possession

Texans running back D’Onta Foreman was arrested this morning on charges of unlawful carrying of a weapon and possessing less than two ounces of marijuana.

The Austin American-Statesman reports that the University of Texas police department arrested Foreman after responding to a call at 12:24 a.m. Foreman, a rookie from Texas, was released around noon

Why is this news worthy?

It's not, really. All schools have athletes and former athletes (and non-athletes) who run afoul of the law. But it's summer and there's very little else tontalk about. To me, it's more ironical that he got busted with possession of a gun when one of Charlie Strong's five core values was "no guns".

Still, he's no longer under Strong's rule and constitutionally can have a weapon if he wants one (legally). He just needs to be legal with it.
