I spent the night reviewing recent happenings at OU, and OVERthinking them...

I continue to wonder how much being saddled with his Bro' had to do with Bob's sudden departure ...and NOW, if Boren's resignation plays a larger part than we realize...

I'm also questioning if yesterday's fiasco was actually a Trick Play...If so, it worked! Coach Campbell knew, on Monday, that his starting QB was out, but didn’t announce it until Friday. Very little available info’ on back-up QB…None on third stringer…No game film…No scouting report…No in-game adjustments, which seems to be a Stoops Brother’s trait, and there you have a sure fire recipe for a major failure…

Could it be a very real possibility that somehow, The Russians are behind the entire Scenario?

You may have something there, Senior. It gets even more weird when you consider that the Iowa State coach was hiding the fact that his QB (Kempt) had never started a game before Saturday.....yet threw for 340+ and 3 TDs. Actually, the surname Kempt originates from the Old English word "cempa" meaning champion. Not Russian, but appropriate.

I think you're on the right track. Boren had major heart issues this past year and I think Stoops got wind of his imminent retirement. So that started the ball rolling. There is no doubt that Bob Stoops had the burden of his brother to drag around. And while it wasn't a popular post back then, I posted that bringing in Mike had the potential to bring down Bob. IMO, it did. But back when he was hired, most loved the hire based on the National Title team's defense. I'm sure this is why Bob brought him back. But it never materialized the second go around.

I'm pretty sure there is some serious talks happening right now. The next 48 hours will be very telling for the OU program.
