Wanted to be the first to stop by and congratulate you on your 257th Big 12 Championship.

You guys will beat Baylor and the LimpFrogs....they haven't played any real quality teams yet.

Oh, and as far as this weekend.....your team is absolutely going to destroy us......the only bright spot we have on this team is John Burt who is a baller....but he can't do anything when everyone else sucks. Looks like Charlie Strong is Mack Brown 2.0. We can't block, tackle, kick, punt, throw, catch or coach. But, the one thing we do have over you is money....we're makin lots of money off those chumps at ESPN.

I will still root for my team, but I must face reality that it's going to get ugly fast. At least thank God the kick off is early an 11 am and it can be done and over with and we can't start drinking after the Deliverance that will be the Red River Shootout.

Enjoy....to the victor go the spoils.....

Charlie makes Mack look like Einstein. Mack never sniffed 1-4. Sorry Charlie is what UT gets after firing one of the most winning coaches in its history. I feel for you kewlldude. For your sake I hope OU makes the game out of reach in the first quarter. I'm not sure you good UT fans can take another nail biter loss on a blunder.

I'd take a moral victory at this point.....at least to give us hope that there's life.

Mack needed to go....he was never the same after the Bama loss in the MNC, he even admitted as much a few times.

I believe that to win in football these days, if you're a defensive minded head coach, you have a to have world class coordinators to fill the void. Charlie demoted Shawn Watson for Jay Norvell....not sure if that is going to work....Jay devised an abortion of a game plan against TCU....a hurry up offense against those guys? It was a hurry up to punt offense. Local sportstalk guys are roasting the coaches for their gameplan and lack of coaching....

If Charlie is going to survive, he needs to gut almost the entire staff and start over.....maybe even Vance. Time will tell....I know you guys will pout at least 50 on us....maybe 60.

Heard will make sandlot plays here and there and we'll get 14, maybe 20 if you guys put in scrubs in the 3rd quarter. I'm thinking 55-17 score.

I am wondering what it would be like around here if

OU lost a game by a point on a missed extra point in the last minute.

or if OU lost a game because the punter dropped a snap inside his own ten in a tie game in the last two minutes.

or if OU lost 50 to not much in a game where the first punt snap went over the head of the punter and almost into the stands for a safety.

If all three happened in less than a month, whoever the coach was, the trainer was, the AD was, the president was and the kicker, punter and snapper were, would all be called for having their heads removed from their necks before Halloween.

I think Baylor is actually pretty good. And the funny thing is that one guy in their DLine gets all the attention, but I'm not sure that their best defensive tackle isn't number 75. Fewer issues, more plays made and just an excellent overall contributor.

Well, this IS Oklahoma. :)

So far, it looks like Mike had a legitimate excuse in talent.
Heupel, unfortunately, needed to go.
Glad our coach makes the correct, tough choices.

Diron Reynolds is proving to be no slouch after Montgomery's success..

Yep, I like this assembly of coaches right now. Hell, even Tim Kish has it going on with the LB play.

In the last two years we have lost to Case McCoy and made Tyrone Swoopes look like a Heisman candidate. I wouldn't be throwing in the towel just yet.

^^^^ This. I firmly believe OU is the better team by a wide margin but recent history makes me a little more tempered in my response. So I expect a 14-17 point win for the good guys.

I'm not expecting a blowout, for some reason. Maybe it's the cornered dog-syndrome. The RR Shootout will be your bowl game.

I'm willing to go way out on a limb here! I see one of three scenarios:
A- it is a dogfight that we barely win
B- it is close early and then we cruise to a modest victory
C- we win in a blowOUt!

How is that for daring to make the boldest of pre-game predictions! Ha!

I don't know if you've seen any of our games but the coaching has gotten worse from last year. Charlie seems to maybe be losing some of his locker room. A lot of the Mack Brown players simply either can't perform or haven't bought into Charlie's strategy.

The defensive schemes look very similar to what Manny Diaz was trying to do last year. It could be that Charlie is spending so much time working on the offense that he's let Vance take over the defense and both are suffering. Special teams is simply lost right now. The defensive line gets little to no pressure at all. Rice pushed us and and down the field, had a 2 to 1 time of possession....but we had Heard making sandlot plays and everyone on OB went apes***....said we're back, we have our QB...we're going to win 9 games this year....etc etc....

So while OU may not be world beaters....they don't have to be with this Bad News Bears...errrr Longhorn team. Even if you guys play like crap....this team has got your back......you'll be wearing the golden hat and drinking the finest moonshine from it....rest assured.

BTW, Case McCoy had the game of his life against y'all a few years ago....I dont think Swoopes has that ability.

Actually kewll, I was kind of disappointed when your easily iced kicker missed the point after at the end of Cal.

I was conflicted about that but, nevertheless, disappointed.

I think everyone feels bad for kickers....they only have one job and they really don't belong on a football field 99.5% of the time!!! I felt bad for the OU kicker that used to kick for the saints when he struggled....

At least our kicker has cool hair!

Or if we gave up a re-punted 90 yard punt return in the games closing seconds for a come-from-behind victory by our despised and overmatched intrastate rival...oh wait, that did happen.

First off, I'm a Horn fan (not drinking current Strong kool aid)....but coming back here to tell you I told you so back in October...i didn't see us beating you guys....but your guys took us too lightly...if the game were played next week, you'd destroy us by 30 points no doubt. We do have really good players...but our coaching has been awful from top to bottom.

You're definately in the playoff, just a matter of what seed....congrats to you guys on your 3,584th Big 12 title. You let the little cousins play with the trophy the last few years....

Just after the Texas fiasco, I told my son about the 1975 season. OU was coming off a MNC year and seemed to be cruising easily. Then came KU onto Owen Field. We lost seven fumbles and the game ended 23-3 for KU. But OU picked themselves up, kept playing great football, then ended the season with a 35-10 victory over the Cornhuskers! We won the bowl game to finish with back-to-back championships!
He said, "Sure, dad, but that doesn't look possible this year".
We aren't quite there yet, my son, but we just need two more victories and we will have done the "seemingly" impossible - again!!!!!

Yep, I've seen this too many times also...

Just something special about this program that if you do doubt what's possible, and in many cases what's probable, like right now, you do that at your own peril and embarrassment.
