Ok, so people like to bash the B12 for not having one. Other than the timing, I don't see the issue (this is a Devil's Advocate Hail Mary for us only).

1) I saw Saban arguing his case about FCS opponents on ESPiN, but BS. You should dominate if you matter in FBS.
2) If you eliminate that as a game, most other conferences have many teams that play 11 "real" games. Two teams per conference have that 12th conference championship game.
3) With a divisional format, teams can technically avoid the powerhouse team(s) via luck in scheduling.

1) In our conference, no one can escape anyone. You have to play every team.
2) At least OU doesn't play an FCS opponent. So we had 12 "real" games. It isn't our fault Briles' and their admin won't upgrade (it doesn't have to be Tennessee, there are 114-ish teams to pick from).
3) Therefore, we don't need a conference championship because the two best teams will play each other at some point, guaranteed, anyway. We fixed the co-champ BS.
4) If you are in our conference and you didn't do the math, figure out you need to up your scheduling game, I can't blame the committee for giving you no credit. But just being in the B12 shouldn't be a death knell. There are arguments to be made if you don't shy away from non conference competition.

Ok guys, fire away at me.
