It’s nice to see that despite his colossal size, Ashton Julious is willing to rely on more than just overwhelming defenders. Even though it’s not the cleanest footwork, Julious flashes quick feet and athleticism in order to be able to block on an island in space. That quickness is even more impressive when you realize how massive his lower body is. A combination of long legs and long arms give Julious a frame that is ideal for a college tackle. There’s a base there for a quality strength and conditioning program to develop some serious explosion.

Where Juious can get into trouble is when he fails to sink back into his stance and natural bend. When defenders get him upright his feet stop moving and gets lazy. At 6-8, it will be imperative for him to stay low, move his feet, and maintain leverage.

At the end of the day, to borrow a Stoppsism, there aren’t many guys out there with the size and natural tools of Ashton Julious. It will be a matter of Bill Bedenbaugh developing consistency in the gigantic tackle’s technique in order to fully maximize that potential. He's most definitely worth the scholarship offer as OU coaches will want to see what blossoms under their tutelage, because there aren't many 6-8, 330-pound tackles who move the way Julious can.
