1-loss champs could be utah, ou, georgia even minnesota. what if georgia beats lsu AND minnesota beats osu. holy cr*p that would be fun. imagine that scenario and who gets in. clemson for sure and then what? georgia as a one-loss sec champ. so there's 2. now you've got utah, ou, bama, lsu, oh st and minn. that's 3 conf champs and 6 teams with one loss each. Can't really argue with anything. The argument happens after CCG weekend if Bama stays ahead of any 1-loss conference champion.

I can't stand ESPN and their biased SEC Slant to everything. No way will Bama be in over a 1 Loss Conference Champion, that just isn't going to happen.Well according to ESPN if Alabama beats Auburn they have a 69% chance to get in while they sit at home and watch other teams put there seasons on the line with CCG. Basically ESPN is saying UGA you better not screw over Alabama by beating LSU because LSU would be ahead of Bama with a loss to UGA
For sure. I just don't get why they have UGA/'Bama at 4/5 if they don't intend to keep them there. It should be easy enough to look at the schedules and see that UGA can't stay at 4 AND LSU at 1. And what are they basing the criteria for Bama at 5, other than the name?Good thing ESPN isn’t the committee right?
Agree, it doesn't make since. They say that their Rankings are based on what they have seen to date; however, if that were True, then Bama should not be #5. They have played one ranked team and they lost to that team at home, no justification for them being #5. UGA has some good wins, but I'm hesitant on how good Auburn and Florida are and they lost at home to SOUTH CAROLINA! The Top 3 are obvious, after that #4 should be between OU, Utah and UGA. UGA will lose to LSU so it will be down to OU/Utah provided both win out. Let's not forget that the Bears could be in it if they beat OU in the Big12 CCG and Oregon beats Utah in the PAC12 CCG.For sure. Unless they just want the controversy and "clicks", then mission accomplished.
Possibly, but if UGA somehow does beat LSU, LSU will go in over Bama (head to head). There is no way they can justify Bama over LSU. That's actually worst case scenario for OU.Alabama is being kept up there so they can put them in the Playoffs if they win out and LSU beats Georgia. If Georgia is the SEC Champ and Alabama wins out I still think they will put Bama in. That way they don't have to try and justify moving them up to take a spot from a more deserving team like a one loss Conference Champ.
