I kind of feel like he is a retired parent having to come in and clean up after his grown kid acts like an immature kid. This doesn’t surprise me but it always pisses me off when coaches go recruit all this talent they bring with them on the their former school’s dime. But that’s the way the system works. I wonder what Bob is thinking now?
You mean outside WRs coach Dennis Simmons - who coached Mims and Haselwood to a combined 4 catches in Bedlam for a whopping 22 yards? That Simmons is a loss? Adios and don't come back.Dennis Simmons is a loss.
His recruiting was great, but the WR’s haven’t been as productive the last 2 years for sure. Holding onto WR recruits has also been an issue. You mean outside WRs coach Dennis Simmons - who coached Mims and Haselwood to a combined 4 catches in Bedlam for a whopping 22 yards? Simmons was a good recruiter for OU. But he was Riley’s “yes man”. So his opinion only was in play if it agreed with LR piece of paper. One that was very limited down the stretch. Hmmm.
Only routes I saw in the second half were streaks...not exactly zone busting routes.Spot on!
That was cocktail napkin small.
Probably looked like this.
Totally agree! That is why I'm intrigued the OC at Ole Miss for OCAt least LR fetish for WR is gone now. We need difference makers...and to find the run game even more.

Simmons did a good job with the WR, he cant control the plays Riley calls. Riley called awful games down the stretch cant blame that on the WR coach.
No arguments there. OU clearly failed to adjust to OSU's halftime adjustment of dropping into a 2-deep shell. It was clear they had put their focus and expectations on the press man coverage OSU normally runs (and that OU had success against in the first half) and had no answers once OSU went cover 2 and cover 3 shells.Only routes I saw in the second half were streaks...not exactly zone busting routes.
Simmons can go IMO.

Usually karma works a bit faster than this.Oklahoma's Jamar Mozee spurns Kansas State: Mozee, a bruising running back from Blue Springs, Mo., was an apparently solid commitment for Kansas State until late in the 1999 recruiting period. But as signing day approached, Mozee followed several of the Kansas State assistants who had been recruiting him as they joined Bob Stoops' fledgling program at Oklahoma. The late switch earned the wrath of Wildcat fans everywhere, but also provided Stoops one of his top early recruits. Mozee never materialized for the Sooners like expected, but his recruitment fueled an intense early rivalry between the two schools. gpi
Strongly disagree😎yes, like coach riley leaving for usc after ou left for the sec. i get that. b12 karma.
but it's a bit rich, as they say, for ou fans to whine about coaches taking recruits with them when bobby built his program with assistants like the fat man who did exactly that after leaving k-state.
memories are lasting.

i'm fully qualified.“memories are lasting”
Not unless you are a Kansas State fan and over 30+ years old.
I can’t help you. Just something you’ll have to live with. But as a K-State fan you should be excited about your head coach.i'm fully qualified.
I was wondering the same thing about Bedenbaugh staying or going. I would say we want him to stay because he is a top flight OL coach but I think it depends on the system. I’ve always felt there was tension between the guys he wanted to recruit and the guys Riley wanted to recruit. He seems like a power run type of guys that excels in teaching gap blocking and Riley wanted to be a gap some, zone a lot, and pass a lot guy.So Bedenbaugh had been reported going to USC but he is still on staff, is he staying do we want him to stay?
I haven’t seen this announced yet. Did it happen today?Bedenbaugh was quick to jump the plane to left coast. That pretty much sums up things. Bye bye clown. Your OL coaching was marginal after touting this one of your best.
