and I doubt if he was checking out Murray or Grier.
I want to believe that Coach Riley sees an opportunity at OU to not only maintain the program's status quo in CFB, but also to build his own legacy with all the resources he has at OU.....and raising his kids in a great environment.
When (not if) Riley resurrects Oklahoma's culture for defensive football, the sky will be the limit.
I would be surprised....and very disappointed...if Riley leaves within the next 10 years.

If the DC hire is successful he stays for the Natty then leaves... if it's a bad hire he's gone before the 2022 season starts. Either way, I think we have Riley around for 3 years minimum.

Maybe, but if Riley is the great young coach that everyone says he is, he will turn the defensive culture around soon and will stay a long time.
It seems to me that if Riley doesn't overhaul his defensive staff before the 2019 season, it may signal that his days at OU are numbered.

Man. I can't believe there is anyone that is still doubting Riley & the defense changes that are coming. It's happening. The only question is when.
