the Bearcats defense has been getting to Ward. 7-7 end of 1st quarter. I like Houston's away unis.

Oklahoma should never use the three man front again. Cincy is whipping as with four down linemen.

The Cougars are doing a good job on the big freshman DL so far but he may wear Cincy down. Houston has a good chance as long as Tommy T. Is coaching the Bearcats.

Oh my, some of the shine is disappearing from Tom Herman's star. 1 minute + left in the third. UH 12- Cincy 10.

Houston needs to win this...........

I'm not surprised Houston is struggling.
They put all their eggs in the 'beat OU' basket and they're mentally depleted.
Kind of like Texas last year.
They whipped us then got blanked by Iowa St.

No excuses, OU should never lose to a Houston but we did.
On September 3rd, Houston was a better team and made fewer mistakes.....and probably wanted a win more than OU, to enhance possible Big 12 membership.
Like OU and Mayfield, Houston lives and dies with its QB. He sure impacted Houston's win last night.

The final score was 40-16 Houston because of two pick 6s by the Cougar defense during the last few minutes of the game. One of the announcers made a statement that cleared by head as I was snoozing. Played the video back and sure enough, he was right. The Cougars didn't go into prevent. They continued getting after the Cincy offense. Still I'm not convinced that Houston is a strong enough team to make it to the playoffs and if they do, it won't surprise me if they are whipped in the first game....like OU was last year. I think its pretty difficult for four equally good teams to make the playoffs. Houston is very talented and seem to play inspired, but their schedule is going to help them. Cincy could end up playing them again in their CCG.

Did anyone see Cincy's second INT in the endzone that helped them take the lead?
The TV broadcast showed a replay from a camera behind the QB (Ward Jr). It was insane. You couldn't see the 3rd defender that made the pick. Ward threw, and then this guy came from nowhere and picked it. The all-black uniform in the all-black endzone was the best camo, I've ever seen. It looked like the field just rose up and gobbled the pass.

The play is here, but this isn't the angle that shows how hidden the guy was. During the broadcast, they showed a replay from behind Ward which gave his perspective. Insane how camouflaged that guy was.

After throwing the interception, Ward made a hell of a tackle to prevent a pick-6 and at the time, that was huge. That play could have changed the entire outcome.
