Calling it now. Bama loses to Georgia thus eliminated from Playoffs and gets OU in Sugah Bowl.

That or some Bowl vs Ole Miss if OU doesn't win the Big 12.

These seem about right to me although I don't get Michigan over MSU, when MSU beat them and I would put OSU ahead of Notre Dame. As for OU's season, we need to hope KSU beats Baylor this weekend and we beat ISU, otherwise I don't see us in the Big 12 Championship Game this year. I really don't see us winning at OSU in a must win night game in Stillwater.

I don't get Michigan over MSU either. The CFP Comm said they believe Michigan is a more complete team than MSU. Whaaaaat?
I guess being a more complete team means more than a win over the more complete team.

Trying to figure out how the committee thinks is equal to wondering when OU will put a full 60 minute game together in all 3 stages of the game.

For the record CFN has us going to the Alomo Bowl to face Utah. CBS still projects us in the Sugar facing Ole Miss. If OU loses to ISU and OSU to close the season out I could see us in the Alamo Bowl.

Is it just me or was there celebrating in CFB when we lost? Also the timing of the LR to LSU talk, and absurd contract rumors was brought to rock the OU boat...this when we are facing the tough stretch. Media has an obvious agenda.

Yes there was celebrating.
All day today on just about every news feed I have seen talks about Riley to LSU. One writer tweeted he had a gut feeling that it was a done deal then later deleted his tweet.

People love to see OU lose. Good friend of mine that passed away in 2015 always used to give me grief when OU lost. I asked him why he never said anything when OU won? He said because OU wins all the time and doesn't lose very often.

I would hate to see what Lane Kiffin would do the OU defense.

You see with teams like Wisconsin with staunch defenses most years. Then you see the Sooners. An upward climb up an icy hill. Grinch has his guys...why such an odd disconnect? Getting Perkins back was a great thing last year. But a fire needs to be started under this team. Our reputation is fading once again. At a wrong time. Ughhhh.

Assuming no significant upsets (like Auburn beating Bama or similar).

So, the Big 12 needs to hope that Georgia does beat Bama and clinches the top spot. Hope that Oregon loses in one of the two matchups against Utah, thus eliminating them. The Big 10 will sort itself out and the top team if only a 1-loss team, then gets a slot. Cincy loses would be ideal, but not required. They'd get the 3rd slot. The the Big 12 champ, if only a 1-loss team would get the 4 slot. ND will be hampered by not having a championship game. And the fact is, they haven't beaten anyone.

The last part of this statement is not going to happen. If it comes down to Ok St and ND for that 4 slot the BRAND NAME Notre Dame is getting in even without having to play a CCG. Alabama could still lose to either Arkansas or Auburn then win the SECCCG and get in even as a 2 loss team. Dont kid yourself thinking 2 losses eliminates Bama. It should but we all know this committee has a Bama issue.

The talking heads are already pushing this agenda. Until this system expands to include all deserving teams ( 8 or 12 ) then it will always be nothing more than a political playoff based on Brand name and the committees preferences.

Until the human bias is eliminated we will never have a true playoff.

My focus isn't on OU getting into the playoffs right now. There's way too much that has to happen not only with this team, but several other teams, before I get caught up in the "ifs" and "maybies" that are being discussed now.
I'm more focused on seeing improvement in these last two games and hopefully in the Big 12 title game. I want this improvement to be a momentum builder for next year and beyond as OU sheds its "Texas Tech North" image...forever.
I'd like to think that the Baylor loss can be a wake up call....a quality loss.....in that it motivates players and coaches to improve.
A strong finish with or without a playoff bid is more necessary now.

Hey man I have felt the exact same way about the Bedlam game over the last 10 years and somehow OSU has found a way to implode. The year Blake Bell beat them when Trevor Knight was hurt and then Trevor Knight comes back to beat Bama, comes to mind.

Come on CT Riley says ‘we’re real close’ for the 11th week in a row.

For the record my focus isnt on OU getting in the playoffs as that ship has passed. Like you I just want OU to end the season on a high note.

In my previous reply it had nothing to do with OU getting in but I was just pointing out the flawed logic in thinking if the B12 champion is OSU they will get the nod over ND. Brand name has always won out in previous years and it all started in year 1 when Ohio State jumped TCU. They can spin it however they want ( Buckeye fans are good at the spin game) but that move was all about brand name.

Just to add, the committee has been good at moving the goal post year by year using its own spin to justify who they put in.
