Canes feel they have 50/50 shot Hurts picks Miami.

I'm very torn. I'm just not sold on Hurts passing ability.

I wasn't to concerned about our offensive losses but now they're piling up. Had Evans returned I would feel much differently, and though I still feel we'll have a quality offensive line, replacing 4 starters is a tall order no matter the coach and talent.

With all the losses, can Hurts really be the difference in a single season? I don't think so and I'd prefer to see Mordecai or Rattler take their lumps in '19 and prepare for a serious run at the title in '20.

This guy has 3 years experience in the #1 program in college football. He played on a N.C team and his role was huge. He's 6'2", 215 lbs. His career stats as follows: passing> 445/707 (62.9%) for 5626 yds, 48 TD's and 12 INT's. Rushing> 381 for 1976 yds. and 23 TDs. This guy would be money in our system.

Comparing Hurts to Mayfield and Murray, Hurts doesn't excite me that much.
Comparing him to Mordecai and Rattler, Hurts may be a better option for 2019.......maybe.

Yeah, I’m with you on the MAYBE. Had to be a big decision for Riley to make. Obviously he thinks Hurts could come in and be the guy, right?

Alabama had the #1 defense in 2017 and the #15 offense the same year.

If Hurts was to be coming to OU, we probably would have seen Austin Kendall's name pop up somewhere else. I dont see Kendall taking any visits, anything about other teams wanting to speak with him. Classes started today, Im sure there is a grace period to enroll in classes before the schedules are shut down. So maybe Wednesday, Thursday will be the last day to enroll.

Exactly for experience alone and Lincoln can work with him.

I thought Friday is the last day?

I think Hurts will turn into something special here. I see him being the right guy at the right time. Very exciting to be in the hunt!

We also have something Miami and Maryland don't have. Lincoln Riley.
