i think the defense played decent. In fact if they play that good the rest of the year we will be very hard to beat. Now don’t get it twisted it’s not good/great defense but this team doesn’t need that to make the playoff. Everybody is saying it would have been different if bowman played the 2nd half but the fact is the offense basically gave them 14 points. The goal after the DC change should have been 3-5 more defensive stops per game. The defense got enough stops last night for a blowout but the early turnovers took that off the table. The redzone defense was a lot better. I know tech scored on their last two redzone trips but we dropped at least one int not to mention motley got robbed of one earlier in the game. We also made it really tough to get in the end zone on their last 2 redzone trips which ate up valuable time they didn’t have at the end of the game. Tech was 3/13 on 3rd down which is really good for our D. Maybe the most important thing that the D did was hold their running game in check. This is huge against a spread team. The penalties were huge and aided tech a lot. Clean them up and keep this type of performance up and we have a great chance to win out.
