Cale....

Hopefully we will also be improved with a new secondary coach. Maybe we won't be laying 10 yards off the receivers next season

Definitely makes sense with Cale being the lone coach left from Bob's initial staff when he was hired. Cale has never let up and definitely earns his paycheck year after year after year. It's great to see him earn the Asst Head Coach title. I'm curious as to the change in Cale being moved to coach inside receivers and Boulware now coaching the RBs.

BW...enjoy that a guy that has slaved for years and brought in great recruits versus trying to slam it into some kind of statement of the defense.....I don't understand your posting. Start a thread about our secondary.....I really don't understand what your thought process is?

If you read the article then you will realize it made reference to all of the coaching changes including the secondary.

BW..and the original post was about Cale..

now start a thread about the other changes....you don't get it.

Cale has always had a prominent spot at Bob Stoop's table. The promotion is deserving. I'm not sure as to why he was moved from RBs to inside WRs other than it might be that the RBs are to play a lesser role going forward. But that's just speculation on my behalf.

Mike Stoops is moving upstairs to the press box and Kish's role has been reduced to indsie LBs only. Interesting to say the least.

Cale Gundy, in my opinion, should have the inside track on succeeding Stoops, assuming that Stoops leaves OU in the next 3-5 years. I believe Gundy is primed and ready for the job of head coach, wherever that may be....which hopefully will be at OU someday.

83 don't get rubbed the wrong way so easily. Its not like I seek to approve every little think you have ever posted. Move on....enjoy posting

so Cale is HCIW ?

J/K...it is pretty amazing how long he has been there. He has landed some stellar RB's.

Cale has undoubtedly performed well, but he has done so in a very quite, unassuming way. It's kind of hard to get a fix on his expectations and goals. I know enough about him to say that he is very much unlike his brother. Cale was a great kid in high school and well liked. Mike wasn't so much. Two very different personalities. I would be surprised if Cale had the head coaching job at OU on his bucket list. But if he does, I would love for him to have the opportunity.
