BULLMARKET

LMAO! You've been so, so, so right thus far. Happy, happy. :D :D:D Boomer!

They sure have given the Sooner nation much joy in the last two years.

I have confidence in our great team and in Patti Gasso their great head coach

Our very young team is mentally tough, and very skilled and know how to win. .

You also Oklabama my great friend have been very positive on our team all season

Now lets go win the National Championship!

BOOMER SOONER!

What's the 'official' call on the bunt that stayed in the box allowing us to get back into the game. I saw the home plate ump signalling 'fair' all the way through (like everyone else did). Does the fact that it never rolled out of the box, nor hit the batter or the bat play in here somewhere or did we just get lucky ?

The official call as the ump called it :fair ball" is a throwing error on the catcher.
The ump had a good view of the ball & in his opinion the catcher fielded it in fair territory
and made a poor throw to first base.

Shh (a secret)......We were lucky!.

That's too bad for the ducks; I'm over it. Did their coach whine in the presser ?
I'd prefer to beat every opponent fair & square but that's not the way it goes sometimes, as we well know

Almost always ump calls balance out equally for teams

This ump had a great view of this play and he judged that the catcher first touched the ball in fair ground. The ump was standing almost on top of the play and he had a perfect view. He said"FAIR BALL" and extended his arms to show it.
Thats the honest answer to this play iasooner!
The Oregon catcher instead of fielding the ball should have just watched it to see if it would roll out of bounds. She fielded it and then made a bad throw to first base.

WE BEAT THEM FAIR AND SQUARE

It was a really bad call but as I stated I never feel sorry for Oregon. They got screwed on that play but our girls made the plays as the inning went on. Unlike years ago in football, replay cannot change the call

We got a call that could have easily gone the other way, and for that reason I rarely complain about the ref or ump's calls that don't benefit the Sooners. It's just part of the game. So we got a call today that righted that truly bad screw up in Oregon with the fumble. At least today's call helped get us into the finals for a natty. I think that's fair. LMAO.

What exactly did Bull predict?

Billy, Bull has for the last month been touting another OU championship amongst several naysayers. Patty's team has proven him correct so far and IMO they have already accomplished more than a lot of fans would have expected. So I give it up to him and hope he continues to be right. And, BillyRay....thank you. You know what I mean.

Count me as one who doubted this team. I was wrong...happily!

Not sure they can beat Florida, but this team won't surprise me if they do. They've done more than I thought possible all along.

Florida won the previous two WCWS prior to our winning it last year. A huge upset by Georgia in the super regional last year knocked out any chance for the top-seeded Gators to three-peat.

This has all the makings of a classic series.

bunt was a fair ball...anything touching or on the imaginary line from the back tip of the black on the plate to the foul pole is fair whether it is inside the box or not....box does not designate anything but where the batter can stand....

No it was foul and definitely outside fair territory. But hey we deserve some breaks from time to time, lord knows we have been screwed plenty

This group needs Paige 1 to be amazing again, and Paige 2 to shut them down when the opportunity arises. And we need to scratch out enough against two great pitchers, backed by a great defense. I love the batting order the way it is now. Pendley is playing incredibly and she gets better pitches for everybody in front of her. And Romero keeps pitchers honest with Nicole.

I don't think we're the favorite, but I think we have a very solid chance. OUr pitching is going to have to be the best it's been I think it might. Today, Paige 2 looked great. If Paige 1 can get us to the 6th with a lead, I believe Paige 2 can bring us home.

No the ball was in fair territory when the catcher touched it. and here is why you are wrong.

The ump who was only a foot away from the play with a perfect view of the play looking over the catchers shoulder the ump said "fair ball" & he also indicated a fair ball with the umps arms extended.

The ump was not 90 feet away from that play. He was right on top of it and he made the correct call.

The only whiners on this play are those in Green with an O on their uniforms who had a catcher who made a terrible throw badly overthrowing it to 1st base.

Karma!!!!!!!

The ump had to make a visual extension of the foul line and wasnt exactly in the best position to do. Umps make mistakes. The real issue was the catcher making a bad throw to 1st.

He yelled "FAIR BALL" and then he then extended both of his arms confirming his fair ball call.

It was a fair ball and a terrible throw by Oregon's catcher

99% of questionable bunts the team in the field just lets the ball roll to see if it goes foul.
This catcher grabbed the ball in fir ball territory with the ump looking right at her.

(Go look at the video at soonersports.com.)

Fair ball

I've seen the video. It was obviously foul but the ump made a bad call. It happens. As an OU fan I'm happy it did. In the end though OU players made plays to win. Can you please drop this and look forward to the game tonight? I don't want to argue
