This is truly a feel good story about a kid who grew up very poor in Haiti and with hard work and talent and being a team leader succeeded at OU and now he is a mega millionaire.

From ESPN....
"Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield has agreed to a four-year, $94M contract extension with bonuses that could reach $106M, league sources tell ESPN."

Interesting. I saw him in an interview last week where he said that their initial offer of $90 million was insulting.

Over the weekend, Hield told the Sacramento Beethat the Kings’ early contract offer — reportedly four-year, $90 million, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes — was “an insult.” In the end, Hield signed an extension that guarantees less than that and is only likely to be $1 million more than that per season if he maintains his production. Those team incentives must’ve done the job.

Makes you wonder what these kids are thinking. Probably grew up in a hut on the beach and now he thinks 90 mil is insulting.

It was "insulting" in comparison to what others of equal worth are being paid.
Probably. that narrative was from his agent.
There are a lot of NBA dollars being floated around out there.
At least there was until Daryl Morey made his "Stand with Hong Kong" tweet.

90 million for 4 years is an insult?? Over 20 million a year is an insult.....wow.....:rolleyes:

Nothing wrong with negotiating through the media. I am sure Buddy and his family are excited, as exhibited by the fact the total value of the contract was "only" $4 million more. I would guess if he truly felt the $90 million was an insult, $94 million would not get it done.
