Brian Bosworth...The Boz...Hall of Famer...

Senior, I'm your huckleberry and will respond to your thread.....Brian Bosworth was one of the greatest college football players in NCAA history. Unfortunately, The Boz caused Brian's induction into the HOF to be delayed much like Barry Switzer's shameful snub for so many years by HOF voters. Yet Jim Tressell is elected in a rather short span of time even though he was band by the NCAA from coaching. Tressell belongs, but it is insulting, IMO, that two truly great contributors to the sport had to endure 20 years of bias before finally getting the recognition they deserved. Isn't it odd both were Sooners? Yes, I'm pissed, but proud of Brian and Barry. Congratulations, Brian Bosworth, Hall of Famer! Boomer Sooner!!!

That's right.
The most dominant CFB linebacker what ever was.

Literally, the Dick Butkus of the college game.
He was as much fun to watch as any of the scat backs we've had.

Too funny...I went to Youtube to look at some Butkus clips.
In one of them Pat Summeral said after a game, Butkus wouldn't shower...he'd just lay down and lick himself.

I can't think of any other former player that I would like to have on defense this year more than Bosworth in his prime. He was just so much fun to watch. No disrespect to the greatest, Leroy Selmon, but this defensive team would benefit immensely from the enthusiasm that Brian would bring as a player.

I'll never forget the '86 Red River Shoot out. (OU 47-12)

The Boz, clearly in the meaty part of his 'roid use, was just a menace against the horns that day.
By the second quarter they'd started to double team him, and yet, he was beating that too.

Getting a hold of a half back as he's taking the hand off from the QB?
I can't recall seeing that since. Unbelievable.
