Bradford traded to the Eagles, Murray reported to interested in going to the Eagles,

Not a terrible fit. Dink and dunk passing game fits Bradford's accurate arm. I think Chip is going to make a run for Mariota though and unless he's a dud I think Chip will hitch his wagon for better or worse.

My former assistant is a huge Eagles fan and his take is that the Eagles get Bradford and the Rams' first and second round picks for Foles. The Eagles will then use Sam to trade up (possibly to the Jets) so that they can move up in the draft and get Marcus Mariotta. He doesn't think Sam will see the field in an Eagles uniform.

Interesting. So the thought is that the Rams had to cough up Sam, a 1st & a 2nd Rd pick to unload his salary on to the Eagles. Wow.

Wow! That's impressive that your former assistant thinks just like every Eagles fan in America. Did he think he had breaking news that nobody else thought about?

Whoa. Go easy there Deb. I was just trying to share what an Eagles fan thought about the trade. It was just an opinion. No need for the sarcasm.

Update:

Here are the corrected numbers regarding the draft picks...quite a difference than a 1st & 2nd pick.

The Eagles will also get a 2015 fifth round pick in the deal. Besides Foles, the Rams will get two draft picks: A fourth-round pick in 2015 and a second-round pick in 2016.

For what its worth, I appreciate Schoonerman's post. But then again I'm not an Eagle fan so there was no reason for me to have had this information before Schoonerman sharing it with the message board. Thanks, Schooner.

Wowza. 5 years, $40 million deal. Happy for Murray. He's deserving.

I'm also happy that the Eagles just shot their wad and the Cowboys said within their budget.

They better upgrade their O-line or Murray will be spending that extra cash on significant medical bills.

Jerry Jones just rolled the dice one to many times, Dez is in some big trouble with the law, and Jones let's The best back in the league walk. Murray was over 50% of the Cowboys offense. Dallas just got weaker on offense, meanwhile Philly just got stronger. I don't see Dallas even winning the conference now.

Gotta disagree Mike. What the Eagles have just done is what Jerry has done many times in years past. BTW, I don't think most know this now, but Jerry isn't pulling the trigger at the Cowboys front offices any longer. His son and another guy are calling the shots. But that's another subject. In this situation, to maintain cap level, it was basically either Dez or Murray. Dez is a very unique and exceptional WR. His weakness is/was off the feild issues. Time will tell if he falls again, but he's been a pretty good player for the past few years. Murray on the other hand, as only completed one season of his four years as a Cowboy. But I love his character and the way he runs.

It was a no brainer iMO to let me go. I'm very happy for him. He finally got a fat check contract and even better, he's getting from another NFC East opponent which eventually weakens them. The cowboys can & will draft a RB , maybe even two. They will get some production out him as the O-line in Dallas is about the best in the league. All the while the money spent won't break the cap structure.

It appears that the national media is just now figuring out that Jerry didn't make the call on Murray. While it's been the Steve Jones show the past three drafts and one can clearly see the difference. I'm sure Jerry has the final say on the inked papers, but while JJ has been in front of the cameras, his son has been behind the doors doing the personnel and cap budget issues the past few years.
