I realize Clemson this year, is one game. But looking at Bob's performance in the big stage bowls, there is nothing to brag about. If you count this year as a potential NC opportunity, we have had 5 opportunities from 2000 to now. 5, and we have won 1. In addition we have lost to WVA and Boise St. in the Fiesta Bowl. Yes we have won a few against big time teams; FSU 2000, Rose Bowl; and Alabama in 2013 but over-all not a great record in these big stage games. We talk about talent gap, but has it always been talent gap? Or is there something about our preparation and game planning that could change and make us better. We have actually been blown out in some of these games, i.e., USC, WVA, Clemson 2 years in a row. Seems like we should have a better bowl record.
