We know that OU made the trip to the northwest, losing to Oregon and taking two from Oregon State who was top 15 in the RPI.

In a series of the two remaining big three in the conference this season, in Austin the Longhornettes won game one 3-0, but the Cowgirls came back and won games two and three, 3-1 and 4-1.

Iowa State went to Lubbock and won the first two, 5-3 and 7-5. Tech won game three 5-3.

Baylor swept Kansas 4-1, 2-1 and 6-0. Kansas had a decent record entering conference play. But they are winless in the league.

Texas plays Baylor with the same schedule formula as OU-OSU. So they've already played the one game in Austin, which Baylor won 3-0. If Baylor sweeps Texas, the other two games are in two weeks in Waco, then they have a chance to catch the Longhorns for third in the conference. Baylor is through with OSU and OU.

Texas visits Norman next weekend. Two of the games are on ESPN2, Saturday and Sunday. Texas could catch OU, who is undefeated in the conference, with a sweep. OU has the teams with the two other best conference records left, Texas and OSU. OSU - OU has one game in Stillwater and two in Norman. Norman on Wednesday and Saturday. Stillwater on Friday.

Both teams will be coming off challenging weekends for that Wednesday game. OU hosts Texas for three. OSU goes to Los Angeles for four games in two days, Friday and Saturday. They play South Dakota then UCLA on Friday. And then play UCLA then South Dakota on Saturday. The Cowgirls will be tested heavily against UCLA's batting order. UCLA swept previously top ranked Washington. They won game one and two 3-0 and 3-2 and finished tge sweep 1-0.

A good showing by the Cowgirls in Los Angeles would be great for the whole Big XII conference. OSU beat Arizona the first week of the season. Hard to imagine the Pokettes having enough D and pitching to pull it off.
