Bedlam

Keep in mind Thurman and B Sanders never beat us.
We are going to have to score at least one more point than them
Speaking of Thurman, watched the 1985 Ice Bowl last night. Though the field was a sheet of ice, OU was able to score three times (1 TD / 2 FG) and Thurman and the boys didn't score at all.
Was fun watching Switzer and seeing the players from that NC team - Holieway, Tillman, Carr, Stafford, Anthony Phillips, Mark Hutton, Keith Jackson, Migliazzo, Bosworth, Dante Jones, Sonny Brown, Casillas, Steve Bryan. Mike Winchester (2 FGs while slipping and sliding).

Exactly 10 years since Laundry Jones lost in Stoolwater... a crushing defeat of 10-44.
9 years prior to that (2002) was 28-38 in Stoolwater.

I was there with my warming beverage...Yukon Jack.

Not worried, if the DL plays like it did the other day, no worries. OSU defense is good, and Riley hasnt called a good game the last 2 games, I still have faith he will have something ready for the pokes. Would like to see more of Marcus Majors as we need another big back, in the backfield.

We were living in Glenpool at that time.
The Aggie that lived across the street from my mother asked if we wanted to buy his tickets to the game. Almost did it. Really glad we didn't.

I could tolerate the cold much better back in those days. These days not so much. Weather looks pretty good for Nov. in the Stool.

Anybody else worried about bedlam? I’m not confident in the offense and that’s crazy for me to say.
Worried, nah. Gundy is gonna do Gundy. Just a matter of the offense, i.e. LR, doing what is necessary. I would like to see how good the defense is with an offensive game that compliments it...so they don't tire in the second half. Boomer Sooner!

I'll be curious to watch this game. OU is the one team with the WR talent to win the man-to-man matchups often enough to put our defense back on its heels. And, prior to this year, mobile QBs have been the bane of OSU for as long as I can remember. That said, OU's QB is a true freshman who will see some unique looks that may slow him down in the instincts/thinking department, and that's where OSU can make its plays.

On the other side of the ball, it will be OSU's run-game vs. OU's tackling which has been hit and miss this season.

At least both teams are relatively healthy going into the game (particularly for game #12).

If OU wins it will be an upset.
What I've seen from both teams so far this season doesn't favor OU.
If OU can hold OSU to no more than 24 points, I think there's a better chance for OU to win. It worked vs Iowa State (21 points), who beat OSU.
And of course, OU's offense needs to get off its butt.

I'm sorry but OU beating OSU will never be considered and upset...ever.

Sanders does not impress me much. He takes off running at slightest pressure. Then when pocket collapses, he makes bad decisions. Purdy, Kolar, and Hall were much bigger challenges in my opinion. Guess the DL needs to pin their ears back and turn this game into the Sooners favor.

It will be a fun game to watch. Sanders is very much like Williams. Williams may be a better athlete but Sanders has the 3 years of experience. Neither responds to pressure very well and I expect both to get a ton on Saturday. I fully expect the game will be won by the QB who doesn't make the boneheaded mistake.

I guess I look at it this way: if a gun is pointed at my head and I am told to pick the winner of the game I would pick OU.
I'm an OSU fan, if someone pointed a gun at my head, I'd probably pick OU as well.

In actuality, this is feeling a LOT like 2011. We lost to ISU in a game we shouldn't have, and if we win out, we'll probably end up just outside the playoff for someone who wont have won a conference (like a ND or a second SEC team). Just like OSU's success ushered in the end of the 2-team championship, we'll usher in next year's 8 or 12 team championship. But we won't actually make the invitational.

My girl friend is an OSU sorority girl, who got us a pair of great tickets to the game, but we had to give them up. She tore a meniscus and isn't up to the walking. I've been limping myself, twisted ankle, but was good enough just barely, to have made it.

I think OSU's defense is really good, and with the home crowd, we may not be able to do much. And I think at home, the Aggie offense may be better than it was last week in Lubbock. But overall, I think OSU's offense is suspect against a good defense, and I think OUr offense may just rise to the occasion, and be great this weekend.

I think, maybe hope, that this will go a little like the 2013 game. We had a suffering offense, but made a couple of special special teams plays, and ended up scoring a weird TD at the end to win by more than a touchdown. I don't know if we can do it back to back weeks, and I think OSU's defense might make Williams look silly. But let's hope he makes enough plays and we pull it out at the end, at least in Stillwater.

The two keys in the game, is OUr OL being decent, and Brkic being good again. He hasn't been for a month. If we have fewer than three false starts, especially at critical times, I think we have a good chance.

I hope that is not the case. If OSU beats OU and Baylor back to back they get the nod over ND; this is assuming Bama loses SEC championship game.

I will say Bama being ranked 3rd is an absolute joke based on their results and loss to an overly ranked, 3-loss A$M team with a backup QB...it's a fu$#ing joke.

I agree with you, but OSU is lagging way behind Bama or ND in the committee's most important metric:

Helmet Decal Popularity.
