UPDATE: MON 6:14a - I only spoke briefly with Ferndale, Wash. four-star offensive guard Geirean Hatchett but it was clear the Sooners, again, really made a big impression on him.
"OU was awesome, a really exciting game," Hatchett said.
The 2020 prospect has been thought to be a guy who will be very tough to pull away from the in-state Huskies but his repeated trips to Norman can't be overlooked. We'll catch up with him this week and have a bit more.
UPDATE: 10:37p - So I had a chance to talk at some length with Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian 2020 Rivals100 cornerback Miles Brooks.
"The atmosphere caught my eye a lot. Fans were intense and excited during the whole game which I loved. And then also the love which I had received from the coaches," Brooks said.
"Also I love the facility, I'm very high on Oklahoma."
Not surprisingly the Florida prospect took a little while to warm to the cool temperatures in Norman on Saturday.
"It will take some getting use to but when you are in the game you probably don’t feel it so it doesn’t bother me."
All in all Oklahoma made a big impression and he'll be back to Norman.
UPDATE: 10:24p - I had a chance to speak to a few more people and it sounds like Criddell is wanting to take one more visit and then could have a bit more clarity in his choice.
I still definitely get the feeling that Oklahoma did great with the Rivals100 member though.
UPDATE: 3:31p - No big new changes with Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle Evan Neal but much as I was told coming into the weekend there is still absolutely a feeling that the Sooners have a chance here.
"I think (Oklahoma) will have a chance with Evan," a source said.
I'm looking to hear more on him but all things being equal he gave Oklahoma a good impression this weekend.
UPDATE: 3:14p - Also spoke with someone about Marcus Stripling and I got the impression that he 'tough to read' this weekend.
No one seems sure where things are with Stripling but I definitely don't have the feeling that the Rivals100 defensive end is near to a decision.
I will say I also get the impression that is a growing feeling of unease about him and where he might fit into the plans.
"He came in a lot leaner than (Oklahoma) expected," a source said.
ORIGINAL: OK guys, just going to keep posting stuff in here as Bob's post has a nice bit of Twitter updates so keep adding to that.
But here I wanted to post some of the notes I'm hearing...
*The guy that I've heard from multiple sources that Oklahoma really hit it out of the park with is Katy (Texas) Seven Lakes EDGE David Ugwoegbu. My general impression is that one of Oklahoma's biggest moves was with mom. "Mom wants him (at Oklahoma)," was a quote I got from one source.
That's a big turnaround from him admitting that mom might want him a bit closer to home.
All this said, he has his mind made up to take his final trip to Texas A&M in two weeks and then quickly after we should all know the answer to the question.
First, I think Oklahoma clearly has taken the lead here.
Second, he is the guy, as Scoop discussed on Friday, who feels like whoever talks to him last will land him so there is still a lot of work to do.
***Another guy that I heard the Sooners made a big move with?
Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei Rivals100 cornerback Jeremiah Criddell.
"He could flip any day," a source said.
I believe Criddell is still on campus, so if something were to happen it's still possible. But I am working to make sure he isn't already headed back home.
