Nice play by Clifton beating the runner to 1st on a bunt throw by Knighten. Cowgirls get a two out walk, but she doesn't get past 1st. 6-2 Sooners heading to B5.

Pendley walks. But thrown out stealing. Two out.

Hatfield walks.

Arnold grounds to short

First base ump misses the call on Mendes' bunt single. Not even close. But called out. Two down.

Clifton hit by pitch.

Knighten drills it to left, but caught on the backhand. 6-2 heading to T7

Lowary enters to pitch for OU. Not my favorite move, but we'll see.

Aviu goes to the outfield and plays short against the first two righties.

Arnold throws out the lead off hitter. One down.

Two down on Romero's throw on a easy grounder.

Last Poke hitter is so overmatched, that she tries to bunt an 1-2 pitch. Lowary retires the side in order on nine pitches. Sooners win 6-2.

BTW, Texas was down to Baylor 2-1 with two down in the top of the second and runners at first and second and Baylor's centerifelder threw out a runner at the plate on a single, to end the game.

So Texas is now 6-9 in the conference and will finish under .500 in the Big XII with two games left. And still has a top 40 RPI.

A healthy Shea Knighten with 2 HRs is red hot!

I don't care if you're playing slow pitch. She's averaging better than a homer per game the last two weekends.

Paige Parker is pitching great
Shay Knighten is playing great
The OU defense is playing great
Paige Lowary is doing great pitching as is Lopez
Mendes a freshman is adding so much to our team
THE TEAM IS RED HOT WINNING 24 OF OUR LAST 25
OU IS A DANGEROUS TEAM AND THEY KNOW HOW TO WIN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

I SEE A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shay's stats in Big Twelve conference play are absurd. She has 8 home runs. Pendlley and Romero are tied with three others for second---at four. Her 53 total bases are 18 more than second place Romero (35). Her slugging percentage (914) is 206 more than #2 (708). It just keeps going. She isn't just leading the conference. They ought to retire her number after this year. Then, I remember---Chamberlain did better every year.
