At least five networks are going to have games in that time slot. So it likely makes more sense in Stillwater, than in Lincoln, Minneapolis, Chicago or Pullman. And a couple of those will likely have night games in late November. too.

My point is that in terms of fan comfort, sitting in 50 degree weather in daylight is much more comfortable then doing the same in 30 degree temperature. This is what the early forecast is for Stillwater on 11/30. Whatever the weather is in those other places is irrelevant.

Totally understand. But this is on the whole deal. The schools are selling their souls to help ESPN and other broadcasters make a ton of money. And if they don't, others will, and it will be to the detriment of any school who chooses to not participate. When you take their money, you surrender the right to have ANY input as to when your kickoffs happen, home or away.

It's inconvenient for players. It's horrible for fans live at the game. The networks don't give a damn. Often, the NCAA doesn't give a damn. I remember when OU's women were a top eight team and had to play a first or second round game in the tournament against a local team in Washington state after midnight in Norman. Second round I believe, the for right to advance to the Sweet 16. That's on the NCAA.

And you usually can't watch your team because they are televising a UConn blowout start to finish, decided by 50 points or more. At least it was that way for more than a decade.

We've heard LR show as much indignation as he can, with five consecutive 11 a.m. games. The NCAA doesn't care. Fox and ESPN don't care. And OU can't to much, because the conference gave the networks that right. Same right gives them the right to televise Bedlam in the nighttime on November 30.

Not as bad as CCG's in Kansas City at night in December, but the same principle. And it isn't going to change. Complaining is good for the soul, most likely. But it isn't going to matter a bit. And Bedlam will sell out. So if you don't want to go, somebody else will sit in that seat for you. So really, OSU and OU don't care, really.

I plan to be there and look forward to it. Current weather forecast looking promising, relatively speaking. I'll have some liquid courage and good food in me. I can suffer through some weather, of course if the game gets sideways, I reserve the right to change my mind :)

Plaino, I get every game every year that OU plays and usually get a rebroadcast a day or two later. The northeast is not provincial as you apparently think it is.
UConn football games are usually shown on Thursday or Friday nights or Saturdays on SNY, ESPNU or another secondary network.....but no one here gives a shit.
UConn football is on its way out of D-1 competition, and I couldn't care less. It will never reach even the modest levels of Army, BC, or Syracuse...and I think Rutgers is on the survival bubble even as a Big 10 team. The NYC market really cares about only pro sports and college basketball.
No doubt the next two OU games will fill the stadiums, as did the 1985 OU-OSU ice bowl.....but the comfort level for those attending will still suck. That's my only point and I'm aware that my opinion, which you regard as complaining, has no traction in the matter.
When you're 71 years old, comfort is a prerequisite. Next year's OU-Army game in September will likely be my last attended game for OU or any other football game. A recliner, a pot to pee in and munchies are all I need to enjoy a ball game.

No lines or ridiculous prices either. I get it, just from that perspective. Add some intense weather and it makes it really difficult. I got lucky with some family having tickets and the drive ain't that bad. CT, I will raise a beer and yell Boomer Sooner in your honor.
