Oklahoma is trying to become the first-ever team to beat Baylor in McLane Stadium. Ten have tried. All have failed. But the Bears’ home-field advantage has become much greater than that.

Baylor has won 29 of its last 30 games in Waco. Ever since the start of the 2011 season, the Bears have been near-impossible to beat on their own turf.

Baylor has scored more than 40 points in 27 of the 29 wins while averaging 644.5 yards of total offense per game.

Ever since losing to Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma has figured out its true calling on offense: Run the damn ball. With Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon leading the way, the Sooners have developed one of the nation’s most dominant run games over the past month.

The Sooners’ production on the ground since since that Oct. 10 loss:

• 295.3 rushing yards per game (No. 1 among Power 5)
  
  
• 6.25 yards per rush (No. 1 among Power 5)
  
  
• 14 rushing TDs (No. 1 among Power 5)
  
  
• 42 rushes of 10+ yards (No. 1 among Power 5)
  

They’re also No. 1 in the Big 12 in rushes per game (47) during this four-game win streak. Perine and Mixon have combined for 801 rushing yards in the past month. Mixon is gaining nearly 8 yards per carry, and Perine is getting a healthy 7.6. They definitely owe some credit to an offensive line that has solidified and seriously improved.

Expect a heavy dose of Perine early and often in this game after he only logged five carries for 21 yards against Baylor in 2014.

It's past time for them to experience the sting of a loss @ home and the Sooners will be more than happy to bring it. This time tomorrow night I hope to be the one with a biggo ear-to-ear grin.
