Just a few quick observations:
- They should close the voting on the POY award and give it to Buddy. What an incredible finish. He's special.
- Cousins was OU's 2nd best player today. Forget the game winning shot. He finished with 18 points, 7 assists, 4 steals, 1 block, and 4 rebounds. Wow! His confidence should be back now. I thought it was a fitting finish that he would hit the game winning shot after some of the negative crap people have said about him. He has been OU's quickest player and best defender for a couple of years.
- Ryan Spangler. What did he do? In addition to guarding Ben Simmons much of the game, he finished with more points and more rebounds than Simmons did. 16 points and 10 rebounds vs 14 points and 9 rebounds for Simmons. What a gutty performance.
