We dominated (as we should've) Lehigh over the weekend. The starting pitching was lights out. With the current starting rotation of Kyson Witherspoon, Cameron Johnson, and Malachi Witherspoon gives OU a chance in every series. The Bullpen came in and delivered as well. Even Jamie Hitt had a nice outing with 2.0 innings pitched with 2 K's and 1 BB. New comer Michael Catalano (True Freshman) came in and was dominate in his relief appearance striking out 4 with no hits, walks or runs. The question coming into this year was replacing a lot of production at the plate with John Spikerman, Bryce Madron, Jackson Nicklaus, Kendall Pettis, among others leaving to the draft or graduation. The newcomers along with program vets like Easton Carmichael, Jaxon Willits, and Jason Walk delivered at the plate, scoring a total of 36 runs during the series. As a team OU hit .394, with 5 Hr, 10-2B, 2-3B, and swiping 15/17 bases. Should be a fun year for Skips Squad. The competition only gets tougher, starting this weekend with the likes of Minnesota, Oregon St, and Virgina.
