Back on board and ready for a good season

Remember, alcohol dehydrates one. Hit the water hard and don’t become a statistic. (Yeah I used to byob too but those days are long gone)

Up at 4.
Two cups of coffee.
Launch and scoot across the bay to my honey hole whilst slamming a QT of bloody Mary.
Box my bag limit of reds, trout, flounder and sheepshead.
Trailer at 10am.
Shower.
I'll be primed and ready by 11.

BOOMER!

Dallas, Fort Worth, Mesquite and Denton all reached 109 by the end of the day, breaking a very old record dating back to a week after I was born elsewhere. The 72 year old record was 107. So it was hot. OKC and Tulsa were all more when 10 degrees cooler then DFW or Austin. If I were a recruit, I'd think about that.

109 in San Antone with a "real feel" of 112 is enough for my old ass.

In the DFW area, including yesterday, we are likely to have the hottest four days in the last half of August ever. Especially for the date. Won't ease up until Monday or Tuesday. And easing up will stil have highs in triple digits.
