Athlete Jaren Kanak commits to OU

The 1962 and 1963 media guides and the 1962 OU-Nebraska program I have list Looney's weight at 207 and I read in First Down and Forever that that his weight at OU was 235.
Regardless, I believe Looney was OU's best back ever to play at OU up until then (1962). His size, speed and power had never been equaled by the likes of Vessels, McDonald, Thomas, Gautt, Grisham and others. But what was going on between Looney's ears was akin to many of today's athletes, with the all-about-me attitude. That didn't fly 50-60 years ago. Coaches would not tolerate it like they do now.
As for Kanak, I could see him getting some time on both sides of the ball, but his talent may be more utilized on defense.

Granted the competition on that team he ran over is not all that good. But still... bowling over 5 defenders and leaving them flattened, all on one run...is a pretty impressive.

If he is enrolled at OU then he can attend the bowl practices, then why isnt he listed at a committed recruit or even someone offered a scholarship. Something isnt adding up here.

He didn’t sign during the early signing period so he must wait until national signing day. I don’t know if that plays into all the confusion or not, but it’s weird for sure especially since Clemson removed his name from their commitment list.
