What's this do for Gundy and Bidenbaugh, our 2 best recruiters, on offense?
Who here doesn't know the importance of a special teams coach? I hope this guy takes special teams decisions out of Riley's hands.
If Gundy leaves, that would still leave the 10th assistant position open and the possibility for Riley to hire his brother. I don't know anything about him, but don't think nepotism is a good idea.
Only special unit I saw was Baker's offense.
Beamer is a good hire. The guy has a very good resume, having worked with big-time programs and some great coaches. We need a boost with special teams as two ST mistakes cost OU the Rose Bowl. The 26-yard punt late in the game that gave UGA a short field and allowed them to score the tying TD with a minute left. And, of course, the blocked FG in OT.
Hope Cale Gundy stays. He's our best recruiter and another solid coach we need to keep on the staff. If he does go, I'm not excited about the thought of Riley hiring his brother. As someone said, nepotism is not a good thing.

I don't see Gundy leaving, Sumlin took Mazzone with him and he calls the plays. Lateral move at best to a 2nd tier University
A&M as a 2nd tier program is correct, but they spend money like an NFL team. Deep pockets in College Station.
