Can someone answer why this is so complicated at OU? I think most of of outside of the delusional sector of our fanbase knew the hiring of Littell/Finley was a suspect at best. Why is it we take these huge risks at a prominent program like OU? Bama/UGA would never do this
Furthermore, why is it we can’t seem to pair an elite offensive HC (Riley) and defensive HC (Venables) with an ultra competent coordinator to compliment them? Seems like such an obvious necessity.
Lastly, why do we tend to stick with bad coordinators so long? (Thank god we didn’t with Littell) Instead everyone sits around and makes excuses for them. Hence, we sat around and watched historically bad defenses with Grinch and Mike Stoops.
We cannot hire friends and players anymore. It’s also beginning to look like Demarco Murray was a bad hire despite me having high hopes.
