Arnold

Has he said anything in regards to his current situation? I haven't seen anything from him
He said God has him right where he needed to be and that he is very happy in Oregon.

(What he didn't say)
I hope all you stupid OU fans are happy now, you wanted JA to be the starter and you got your wish. You should be careful what you wish for in the future.

Sometimes we make mistakes. I was one of those people in the “ I want JA to start camp”. Unfortunately for those of us that did we got proven wrong. He may yet turn out to be a very good QB but something tells me it will not be at OU.

Im sure Arnold will be back on the field when we face Texas. Dont see Hawkins doing to much this week with our B-team offense. Seems like every back up skill player is playing this week.

If you’re right, wouldn’t we see Arnold play in the Auburn game, too. Brent needs this win so I don’t think he would hesitate putting Arnold in if he feels Hawkins isn’t going to pull out a win.

I think this is MH team going forward. I don’t see them yanking the rug underneath him based on the issues they are dealing with.

I hope so because if he remains the QB the rest of the season it will mean the offense is playing better. Whoever can give us the best chance of winning is the guy I want to play. I don’t have a favorite.

Hoover talked about JA last night and that JA said after the Bowl game last yr that it felt like it was still DG's team and maybe thats why he played the way he did, also he wondered if thats still in JA's head and if it is thats not what you want your QB1 to be thinking.
I think its more of the pressure and high expectations more than anything. He is playing scared and tight, scared of making a mistake. The offense did play better after Hawkins came in but he could play more freely since the game was over and he just had to create things on his own instead of following the game plan. I am sure at that point the gameplan was tossed. He probably won't play the same way he did last week but to have a chance at the win he may have to.
I am starting to think with all the adversity this team has faced this yr that the Football Gods hate us. 🤪

I don't the JA is great at handling the pressure of the game plus all the NIL money he has gotten. Hope he held on to most of it

Sounds to me like JA was making excuses for his play. A 5 star QB in my opinion or even good QB's should never make excuses. Maybe I am mis-understanding what he is saying or what Hoover was saying. Maybe I am wrong here but hearing this I wonder what he tells his parents in regard to why he has been struggling. Accountability makes a player better, excuses not so much.
